My eight Treasures.......
| | |
| Well, my treasures tell me it is time for me to update and they are threatening to do it for me if I don't get on it. That might be scary. So, here goes.....
My treasures all came home safely from Romania. The noise and activity is a delight to my soul. Things are not quite back to normal though. We spent the first week just talking, laughing, crying, and sharing stories about what we had missed in each other's lives while they were away. Then last weekend we attended a basketball tournament. Mr. D loves basketball, and the rest of us love the fellowship we get to share with friends when we go to the games....so we were all very happy campers! Our team came in third! Yay for our team!!! But alas, we returned home on Sonday, and one by one my treasures have fallen victim to the flu bug. It seems we are finally over the hump and heading downhill toward full recovery, but it was not a pretty sight around here for a few days.
Perhaps life will return to normal next week????
| I don't think my page used to be green. Was it? Am I losing my mind? Can someone tell me how to get my pretty color back?
I sure miss my treasures!! Things like this wouldn't happen to me if they were here. Only 48 more hours. Yay!!
| Well, my three treasures are on the other side of the globe, serving our Lord in Romania. It is very quiet around here, but I am experiencing lots of really quality prayer time. It has been a sweet blessing. Please pray for them and the whole team as they serve the Romanian people. And pray for those Romanians whom the Lord is bringing their way.
I wasn't sure if I could figure out how to add an entry to my xanga without my girls to show me, but if you are reading this.....I guess I figured it out.
| Ok. Several people have demonstrated curiousity about how one manages to get herself married without a proposal. (Sometimes I have wondered that myself.) Anyway, Mr. D and I had dated off and on for several years. We were good friends, but things just didn't seem to be going anywhere as far as I could see, and I wasn't sure I wanted to continue the way we were without knowing his intentions. So after much prayer, I carefully broached the subject one summer Sunday afternoon, not wanting to appear either too pushy....or too eager. His quick, easy, casual response was, "Well, I figured we would get engaged in the fall and married next spring." To which I casually replied, "OK." Then in October, we went ring shopping and he announced to our friends and family that we would be getting married in April. The rest is history :)
